Sometimes, life feels heavy; I mean like I'm dragging something behind me, hindering me & weighing me down...& sometimes it feels like I'm pushing, pushing something big & cumbersome, that just won't get out of the way - what is this feeling? At the time, it's real - it's not just my imagination - subconciously, my mind & body are saying...woahhh, STOP, stop doing this stuff your doing NOW, make it stop. If I'm constantly pushing against the flow of what makes me feel good, even if I have the best intentions...if I'm constantly doing what I think is the right thing, even though my heart is telling me something else,..if I'm denying the things I need for myself, constantly & on a daily basis & swimming upstream when I could be flowing with the river, it's going to wear me out!!..No more charge in the batteries...then what do I do??
When you relentlessly push yourself on, it creates a whole lot of stress in the body, this stress has a chemical response, which in turn has an effect on your body. Your body is in a constant state of homeostasis & will naturally try to adapt, but within this process it creates it's own momentum of stressors & chemical responses, putting pressure on the parts that are vulnerable. When these parts/meridians/organs, can no longer function normally, it creates dis-ease, & eventually disease...
There is always another answer,..recognising WHEN it's time to stop doing the same old things, is about being honest with myself. When I follow my heart, I feel fresh & alive & no longer pushing against the flow.
