Your Mind Influences Your Body
There is an inseparable connection between Mind, Body and Spirit.
Everything physical and chemical response that happens to us is integrally connected with our emotional energy
and Life Force i.e. Our Will to Live
The Unconscious plays a major part in the day to day running of our responses, health and wellbeing - it operates and controls 95% of how your body responds to your thoughts.
When you have a thought, this creates an emotion, and this in turn instigates a physical/chemical response. You are already pre‐programmed in your unconscious to automatically respond physically to any emotion you have, and each emotion is based on the thought you have. So when you think you are in control of the outcome...you're not! Your body puts on a record and plays out the response as though for the first time, but this is based on it's memory of how you may have reacted a long time ago...when things were very different.
This is How it Works
Your mind has a 'Mind-Set,' which you are unconscious of, but which influences you every day of your life.
There is scientific evidence to support the common theory that our 'mind-set' governs our lives. So, whether we have a thought, belief, or a gut feeling - each one will create an electrical impulse which results in an emotion and the emotion then evokes a feeling, which creates a response.
Most of our life is a series of re-actions, meaning that we are basically only responding to data input - this also includes responses from our five senses - sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing. The emotions we feel from each experience will depend on our history, how things got recorded, how we saw the initial experience, and who and what had any external control over that first experience. After a period of time, these reactions will be stored as recordings deep within our unconscious and each time we experience a similar event thereafter, our fully automated system within our unconscious is brought into play over and over again, playing out the same old patterns good or bad.
Why Aren't We in Control?
Our unconscious cannot think for itself - it only follows instructions based on repetitive thought - meaning, if you think the same thing over and over again, no matter what it is, your unconscious will adopt it as a belief. Although we think we are responding directly to a current thought, the response to our thought already pre-exists. By the time we are adults, only 5% of our thinking governs our actions - it is in our unconscious, where the other 95% really rules our lives. This is what creates our emotional responses, feelings, and repetitive patterns of behaviour and this is where it has to be changed in order to bring about a different result
There is nothing that cannot be changed - no matter what life you have had, or what you feel still dominates your life today. So, if you have been practicing changes in your thoughts or beliefs and you are wondering why things aren't changing as fast as you would like - it is because, your unconscious has to re-write the manual and that takes time, patience and repetitive over-writing. Through consciously changing your thoughts and creating a new Mind-set for yourself, you will begin to see your Life change.
Discovering your Body and the way it works mechanically, chemically or electrically can all help too. Any information that gives you a greater understanding will shift you in the right direction. If you have an illness, depression, whatever it is, learning to understand ourselves and how we work is invaluable. It empowers us to take control and releases us from a feeling of helplessness.
